February 21 Prayer Alert

Good afternoon! I hope you had a wonderful week. Our team had a very busy, but productive week in the office. A large part of what keeps us going is knowing the incredible support we have in our prayer team members. So, thank you for being a part of this team! Below are a few praises and requests to report from the last two weeks:

Praises:
  • One of our largest prayer requests from last week is being answered! Our campaign against Fifty Shades of Grey has been a great success. Many have paused to consider the dangers of the  sexually violent movie, 50 Shades of Grey, and joined our efforts to boycott the movie!
  • We are so blessed to have hired our new Communications Director, Amanda Smith, in early January. Last week, her incredible media skills and passion for the movement helped us receive over 4,300 press “hits” in one morning alone! All of this media attention has really set the movement on fire. It’s growing in recognition and support from people all over the world.
Requests:
  • Last week, Sport’s Illustrated released a semi-pornographic cover photo for their February issue. In response, we launched a large campaign with thousands of other Americans across the country. The CEO’s of top retailers were asked to treat the magazine like any other pornographic material by putting it behind blinders and out of the reach of children. Please lift us up in this fight as retailers have pushed back against our request and refused to comply with customer requests.
  • This coming week, four of our staff members will be traveling to Nashville, TN for the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. We ask that you pray over our travels and over the meetings, interviews and seminars that we are taking part in.
I know that God hears our prayers and is so faithful to answer our requests and provide for us. Thank you again for being apart of this team and I look forward sending another update soon!
