While many know Twitter as an innovator in social media communication, for years it has facilitated the distribution of copious amounts of hardcore pornography and aided in the promotion of prostitution. Media reports suggest that as many as 10 million Twitter accounts may include explicit sexual content. Twitter’s laisse-faire approach to sexually explicit content has gone on for far too long.

Twitter is responsible for enforcing its existing policies against pornographic content, and for proactively ensuring its platform is a safe, user-friendly, environment.
