Holder Resigns. Hope for fight against exploitation.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder resigned today.

For the last 6 years, we have worked to try to get him to enforce federal obscenity laws – and thus to help curb sexual exploitation. He refused and even disbanded the task force appointed to do such cases. Holder did this even though he admitted that pornography is leading to increased sex trafficking, increased violence against women and life-long addictions of children and adults.

Needless to say, we are pleased by this news. There is finally some hope that these powerful laws will be enforced again.

You can educate yourself on the laws about pornogrpahy at our website www.WarOnIllegalPornography.com.

Below is our President, Patrick Trueman’s, statement to the press. Pat is the former chief at the U.S. Department of Justice of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. He was responsible for enforcing these laws under President Reagan and Bush I. They won all of their cases and the worst types of pornography at the time (child themed and rape-themed pornography) was pretty much wiped out. The pornographers started self-regulating themselves because they knew they would be prosecuted. There is great power in the law!

Will be in touch soon about next steps.

Statement by Morality in Media’s Patrick Trueman on the Resignation of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder

Hope for the Fight Against Sexual Exploitation

Washington, DC – The resignation of Attorney General Holder can only give hope to those suffering the ravages of the pornography pandemic in America.  Holder was all that stood between that pandemic and its destruction.  Federal law prohibits the distribution of hardcore pornography, known as “obscene material” in law, by Internet, cable/satellite TV, in retail shops, on hotel/motel TV, through the mail, or common carrier.  Holder, in his role as Attorney General, has ignored these laws, allowing those who break them to profit from his inaction. The lives of this and the rising generations have been impeded and devastated by easy access to Internet pornography. Tens of thousands of marriages have ended due to the addiction to pornography by a spouse.  The high rate of sexual exploitation and sexual violence on college campuses and in the military has firm ties to the constant consumption of hardcore and often violent porn by the majority of males. Eric Holder refused to initiate even one new obscenity indictment during his tenure and he bears much responsibility for pornography’s pandemic of harm.
