Miley Says “Guys Watch Too Much Porn”

It’s definitely time for society to wake up to the harmful effects of pornography when one of the most sexualized pop stars says that guys watch too much. Miley expressed her concerns in an interview for W magazine’s March issue.

Miley said in the interview that, “Guys watch too much porn. Those girls don’t exist. They’re not real girls.” Even though she still posed half-naked for the cover, the point remains that even some of the most sexualized people understand the side effects of a pornified society.

This comes from the same person that was offered one million dollars to direct porn.  Miley pushes the extremes so far that this would not be much of a stretch. Everything from her signature “twerking” dance move to swinging on a wrecking ball completely naked in her music video is over sexualized. Yet, she still understands that porn has changed male expectation and made it harder to date.

Besides the effects on dating that Miley describes, porn also leads to an increased demand for sex trafficking, violence against women, and the sexual exploitation of children. Look at how this former Disney star turned out after growing up in the spotlight? It’s hard not to see the effects of our hyper-sexualized and pornified culture when you do.
