Margaret Rucks is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She left the field of Hospice care, as Volunteer Training Coordinator, to serve as the Executive Director of the Rucks Family Foundation, for the past 11 years. Margaret continues to maintain her volunteer status, working with the sick and dying.
One of the scopes of the Foundation over the years has been to educate the local community about the harmful and addictive effects of pornography. In her zeal for helping others, she has hosted a Conference entitled, “Social Consequences of Pornography” and has organized a school tour, bringing Fight the New Drug into multiple schools in order to educate the students. She established and facilitates a peer led support group for women, “Healing Hearts”, for those whose relationships have been impacted by pornography or the sexual addiction of a loved one for the past seven years.
Margaret resides in Lafayette and has 3 sons and 3 grandchildren.
