Ludmila’s pioneering role in the language translation field has revolutionized support for human trafficking survivors worldwide. As President and CEO of MasterWord Services, Ludmila has developed trauma-informed interpreting programs that bridge language barriers in interdiction efforts, victim advocacy, and mental health services.

Her workshops, such as “Understanding Human Trafficking – What Every Interpreter Needs to Know,” and collaborations with survivors like Kathy Givens have equipped language professionals to recognize signs of trafficking, respond empathetically, and facilitate effective communication in high-stakes scenarios.

By volunteering with anti-trafficking organizations and promoting mental health care for interpreters exposed to trauma, Ludmila has advanced holistic survivor care, resonating deeply with NCOSE’s emphasis on ending consumer-level demand, supporting victims, and addressing interconnected issues like prostitution and institutional abuse.
