The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing sexual abuse and exploitation at scale by challenging institutional practices and societal norms that perpetuate these harms. Our work focuses on driving societal change to reject pornography and the demand for paid sex that fuels sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, while advancing technology policies and practices that prioritize child protection over profit. Through advocacy, education, research, communications, and strategic partnerships, NCOSE works to advance policies, practices, and cultural change that protect human dignity and promote healthier communities.

NCOSE exists to combat the full spectrum of sexual exploitation—including pornography, prostitution, stripping, sex trafficking, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, and rape. We work to prevent exploitation before it begins, support survivors, reform systems that facilitate abuse, and advance policies that uphold the dignity and inherent worth of every person.
Our work recognizes the interconnected nature of sexual exploitation and seeks lasting cultural and systemic change through research, education, public policy, legal advocacy, coalition building, and strategic partnerships.
Our Principles
Our work is grounded in the belief that every person possesses inherent dignity and should never be exploited or commodified.
- We view the commodification of people for sex as inherently harmful,
- We support laws which seek to decrease and ultimately end demand by strongly penalizing those who pay to use the bodies of other people for sex,
- We work to create robust services for those seeking freedom from organized systems of sexual exploitation,
- We prevent sexual exploitation by opposing policies and reforming systems which facilitate harm, and
- We support legal reforms that decriminalize victimization.

Launch Your Career While Advancing a Meaningful Mission - Exploitation Prevention & Advocacy Internship Program
At NCOSE, interns are more than observers—they are valued members of our team. Our Exploitation Prevention & Advocacy (EP&A) Internship Program provides motivated, mission-driven students and recent graduates with meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to the fight against sexual exploitation.
As a NCOSE intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support our mission to prevent exploitation before it begins, protect vulnerable individuals, and promote a culture that upholds the dignity and freedom of every person.
Throughout your internship, you’ll have opportunities to:
- Gain practical, career-building experience through meaningful projects.
- Work directly with leaders and subject matter experts in the anti-sexual exploitation movement.
- Attend educational briefings, meetings, and special events that provide insight into nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and public policy.
