Do you want to help eradicate sexual exploitation in all its forms? Do you want to defend the dignity of all children, women, and men? Do want to put your skills and life to work in ways that make a difference in the lives of others and create a better world? If so, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation invites you to become part of the movement to end sexual exploitation through our Sexual Justice Advocate (SJA) Internship Program or open positions on our team.

NCOSE Intern FlyerNCOSE works to expose and combat the full spectrum of sexual exploitation (i.e. pornography, prostitution, stripping, sexual trafficking, child sexual abuse, sexual assault and rape), while emphasizing pornography’s central role in fueling other forms of sexual abuse. We believe pornography is the cornerstone of sexual exploitation, and recognize that its harmful effects are creating public health harms that pose serious threats to society. Pornography encourages sexualization of children, child sexual abuse, sexual assault and violence against women, sex addiction, distorted perceptions of sexuality, dangerous sexual practices, and fuels demand for sexually trafficked women and children.

NCOSE is passionate about building a diverse team (and movement) committed to a world free from sexual abuse and exploitation. We love people and fight for the human dignity of all. We have a global and multicultural impact.

Our work is premised on Abolitionist principles. This means we:

  • view the commodification of people for sex as inherently harmful,
  • support laws which seek to decrease and ultimately end demand by strongly penalizing those who pay to use the bodies of other people for sex,
  • work to create robust services for those seeking freedom from organized systems of sexual exploitation,
  • prevent sexual exploitation by opposing policies and reforming systems which facilitate harm, and
  • support legal reforms that decriminalize victimization.

If you share our principles and hope for a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, come put your mind, background, and experience to work for us.

Sexual Justice Advocate Internship Program

Internships at NCOSE provide energetic and highly motivated individuals the opportunity to address these issues while gaining new skills through hands-on opportunities that seek to prevent exploitation before it begins, and which foster a national culture that stands for freedom from sexual exploitation. SJA Interns also enjoy abundant opportunities to meet nationally recognized leaders in the field of anti-sexual exploitation and attend education briefings.

Internships at NCOSE are competitive and often fill-up early as we often accept interns on a rolling basis. Please submit your application along with your cover letter, résumé, two letters of reference, unofficial transcript, and writing sample. In your cover letter please indicate your proposed start and end dates, the days and hours you could work every week, and if you need any additional accommodations during your internship. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Summer 2021 Intern Applications will open April 2021.
