Media Advisory: Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation Summit to Unite Leaders From Around the World

NCOSE Press Statement logo

WHO: National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE)

EVENT: 2nd Annual Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation Summit

WHEN: September 10-12, 2015

WHERE: Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld, Orlando, FLA

WHY: Sex trafficking, pornography, child abuse, and more, are all seamlessly connected in the broader issue of sexual exploitation. This pervasive, intricately interwoven, topic is bringing leaders and experts from around the world to the Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation (CESE) Summit. This is the only event of its kind in the world, where leading medical experts, social researchers, and advocates come together to strengthen the movement and to strategize about how to help the public understand that we are experiencing a public health crisis, the result of the highly sexualized culture. Pornography feeds demand for child sexual exploitation and sex trafficked women and children. Research shows correlations between porn and violence against women, the breakdown of the family, increased STI rates, and increased sexual dysfunction among young men. The time of treating all of these epidemics as separate problems is over. This Summit, akin to an international board meeting between the leaders opposing sexual exploitation, is the place to go to get the answers.
