WASHINGTON, DC (October 25, 2022) – The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) called out Pornhub for creating a new Instagram account after being banned from the site for repeatedly violating its policies.
“Despite being banned from Instagram for repeatedly violating its policies, Pornhub – which in reality is a hub for sexual exploitation – has acted deceitfully by creating a new Instagram account,” said Haley McNamara, VP of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation.
“This is yet another example of Pornhub’s arrogance. Pornhub is constantly looking for the next PR opportunity to sanitize the abuse that it sells. Pornhub is rife with child sexual abuse material, sex trafficking, filmed rape, non-consensual videos and images, and a myriad of exploitative and criminal material. It is not a company that acts in good faith.
“Instagram should enforce its policy for new accounts that states: ‘We must not have previously disabled your account for violation of law or any of our policies,’” McNamara said.
