Marvin Pompilus recruited women and paid them with drugs.
BOSTON — A Randolph man who trafficked women for sex in Greater Boston and on Cape Cod was sentenced to six to 6½ years in state prison Tuesday, according to a statement from Attorney General Maura Healey’s office.
Marvin Pompilus, 33, who goes by the street name “Kise,” recruited women to provide commercial sexual services in hotels and other locations in Randolph, Boston, Braintree and Hyannis, the statement says.
He had the women post ads online, including on Backpage.com, offering sexual services in exchange for money, according to the statement. He would then keep the money and instead provide the women with drugs, mainly heroin, the statement says.
“This has become a troubling pattern we are seeing in our efforts to combat both human trafficking and the devastating opioid epidemic here in our state,” Healey says in the statement.
