WASHINGTON, DC (September 4, 2025) – The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) offered its unreserved support for the U.S. House’s bipartisan effort to seek the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files.
U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie and 48 cosponsors filed House Resolution 581, a “discharge petition,” which would compel Congressional consideration of an act (Epstein Files Transparency Act) requiring full release of Epstein files by the U.S. Government. There are currently 215 signers listed: https://clerk.house.gov/DischargePetition/2025090209.
“We support the bipartisan House effort for transparency and accountability in the Epstein/Maxwell case. Sex trafficking networks are built upon force, fraud and coercion and are fueled by sex buyers. It is time to dismantle these networks and ensure that no one else experiences these heinous crimes. Survivors deserve answers, as does the American public,” said Marcel van der Watt, President and CEO, National Center on Sexual Exploitation.
NCOSE Survivor Services Coordinator Teresa J. Helm, an Epstein/Maxwell survivor, also added, saying, “This is a call to action. Now is the time to sift through and get rid of the perpetrators and bad actors.”
