Washington, DC (January 13, 2021) – The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is supportive of a lawsuit filed by an Ontario woman against Mindgeek, the parent company of Pornhub, for hosting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and non-consensual sexual content. The lawsuit was filed in Quebec.

“Pornhub must be held accountable, and we commend this Canadian survivor for courageously seeking justice from a company that has profited from child sexual abuse material, sex trafficking, and rape,” said Benjamin Bull, general counsel, National Center on Sexual Exploitation.

“Dozens of similar lawsuits will be filed in the coming months. Just as no person should be subjected to rape or sexual abuse, no company should profit from rape or sexual abuse, as Pornhub has done with impunity for years. Its time is up. We hope this lawsuit brings some measure of justice for this survivor, and others who have been victimized by Pornhub.”

This lawsuit follows on the heels of another lawsuit filed by over 40 survivors of abuse and sex trafficking against Pornhub for its role in their exploitation.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation has urged the U.S. Department of Justice, Congress, and all 50 state attorneys general to investigate and shut down Pornhub for profiting from child sexual abuse material.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation Law Center offers survivors of pornography-related abuse a way to seek justice. More information can be found at: https://sexualexploitationlawsuits.com/.
