Twenty-four-year-old Bethany MacDonald says it isn’t just men who suffer because of online pornography. She says she became addicted and was unable to have relationships because of it.

Bethany told BBCÂ she first saw it when she was nine years old.
She said she became afraid of relationships and was watching it two or three times a day. Pornography served as her sexual education, she explained.
In a generation where pornography is so pervasive, Bethany’s bold decision to speak out pushes back against the misconception that pornography is just “a guy problem.”
Bethany speaks out to give hope to women addicted to porn.
A survey conducted by Barna Group found that teenage girls and young women are significantly more likely to actively seek out porn than women over age 25. One factor in this increase, could likely be the increased availability of pornography to children and teens through the Internet. Similar to Bethany, many people report that they first saw pornography by accident through pop-ups or mistakes in Internet searches.
