How Youth Experience Online Sexual Abuse and What We Can Do About It

By:

The online sexual abuse of children is a problem growing at an exponential rate with very few sustainable solutions being implemented. That doesn’t have to be the case, though.

Common sense best practices implemented by Internet and technology platforms, sound legislation that prioritizes the safety of vulnerable and marginalized children, and better resources for parents can make a significant positive impact.

So what are those solutions?

In this presentation for Stronger Together, Lina Nealon (Director of Corporate and Strategic Initiatives at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation) explains the problems children are facing online and discusses solutions to help address the issues at their roots.

If you have just one minute to spare today, would you use the below action form to contact your U.S. Senators about the EARN IT Act? It is one of the most important child protection bills pending in Congress right now and you can help get it passed.
