Wish is a retail shopping website and it is currently the #2 most popular shopping app.

Unfortunately, Wish is engaged in unethical business practices by facilitating the sale of sex dolls, misogynistic apparel, and even spycams that are marketed as being useful for filming women nude without their consent.

Of course, any webcam or nanny cam can be misused by someone with exploitive motives. But Wish takes it a step too far by allowing products to be marketed with imagery that is specifically advertising the use of spycams and nanny cams to stalk women and spy on them while they undress or have sex.

This is especially concerning considering the rise of non-consensually shared pornography (sometimes called “Revenge Porn.”) An estimated 1/25 Americans are victims of this kind of abuse & many never know about nonconsensually-shared porn of themselves. How can Wish encourage this kind of abuse?

When shopping apps normalize the degradation of women, it impacts not only the consumers but also the whole marketplace. Should Wish continue to sell such exploitive content, it could open the door for other rising shopping apps and websites to follow suit.

Take action and contact Wish here.
