Zero Porn: Testimony to Prayer

By:

I grew up in a family that always looked really great on the outside but no one from the outside can really completely know that which goes on behind closed doors and in the hearts of those in the family unit. I loved my father, but the man had issues that offected me for a very long time. He was so addicted to pornograhy and places that lured men to watch nude women. I remember the endless arguments my mother and father had over this issue and eventually my father cheated on her and after many years of cheating and mom’s tears, my parents divorced.

Dad left my mom and he also left me. I was 14 years old. I did not see him much after that and when I did he was never very close to me. Alcohol and porn seemed to always go together.

Later in life I experienced porn addiction in men through relationships and it really never fails; wherever there is pornography there is eventually further cheating and the break down of the relationship completely. Lust of the eyes is adultry. Jesus said that if a man even looks at a woman with lust in his heart he has already committed adultry. Keep on going and the next thing a person knows is that they are in divorce court and so many hearts are broken, including children.

I am being very candid and open about this issue because it is one of the top ways our adversary breaks up marriages. Intimacy is compromised, love is lost, and people get ripped apart.

I realize that many women accept porn as well but we mostly see the addiction attaching to men. The lack of trust that this addiction causes is really unbearable to loved ones who are directly connected to men who are into pornography.

God created our bodies to be enjoyed by one another in the bonds of marriage and He desires to protect marriage and the family unit. Please pray against the enemy attacks using pornography to hook men into sin. I know first hand how much damage can be done to a womans self esteem by this issue and how much damage it also does to a man who begins to lose the ability to be intimate and faithful with one woman.

Pray fervently on this and don’t let it go. Our marriages, children, and the salvation of those involved depend on your prayers!

In God’s love,
