Change Is Happening! #CosmoHarmsMinors Campaign Is Making a Difference

By:

Your voice is making a difference! The #CosmoHarmsMinors campaign is having huge successes!

We have confirmations from Walmart, Rite Aid, and Food Lion that they are movingIMG_6771 this pornographic magazine to be behind blinders and we are hearing from dozens around the country that their local stores are following suit.

Our Executive Director, Dawn Hawkins, stopped by Safeway on her way to the office and saw the magazine behind blinders there! When she thanked the manager for this change, she said it came from the top and not only is Cosmo going to be behind blinders, but it is also supposed to be moved to a lower spot in the rack. VICTORY! We encourage you to snap some pictures and send to us – tell us the store, city and state. Post on our Facebook page or email to public@ncose.com. Also be sure to thank the managers if they have implemented this change! THANK YOU to the many who have helped us on this campaign. We are certainly able to make a difference when we raise our voice.

Cosmopolitan Magazine glamorizes things like public, anal, group, or violent sex in nearly all of their issues. This is a pornographic magazine that gives details descriptions and instructions concerning sex, and occasionally pornographic pictures as well. Results from a 2015 nationwide survey indicate that the majority of Americans agree that Cosmo‘s covers are not appropriate for all ages. We are asking that Cosmo be sold to adults only and have the cover wrapped like all other porn magazines in retail shops.
