Two years ago, in the UK, a 10-year-old boy raped another 10-year-old boy in an elementary school. The case is now in court. Karl Scholz, prosecuting attorney, said, “It is almost certain that in this case what was being done was to act out what had been seen in pornographic material.” This horrendous story is evidence that pornography is influencing children’s perceptions of what is acceptable on the most basic level.
It came out through the court proceedings that the perpetrator told the victim as he struggled, “Oh come on, the party’s just starting.” That line sounds exactly like something out of porn.
On another occasion, the defendant and another boy told the victim to perform a sex act on “the one he preferred.” These kinds of details make it blatantly clear that pornography has permeated the psyche of these young children, directly affecting their actions.
This is a stark example of what is possible with porn use and a glimpse into the future as children become more accustomed to a pornified society.
