Evelyn, a mother and housewife in Wisconsin, testified on behalf of the Attorney’s General Commission on Pornography. In a small town in Wisconsin, pornography was not readily available during her first few years of marriage. Her husband’s addiction began with Playboy, obscene playing cards and R-rated movies. He began ordering more materials by mail. His addiction became increasingly worse as he started to visit nude dancers, massage parlors and prostitutes. Evelyn described the impact of her husband’s behaviors on their children. His obsession with pornography kept him from spending time with them.
