WASHINGTON, DC (November 18, 2025) – The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) said that the passage of the “Epstein Files Transparency Act” is a step forward for justice for survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell’s sex trafficking network.

House Resolution 581 requires full release of Epstein files by the U.S. Government, and it will now be sent to the Senate for a vote. President Trump has said he would sign the bill.

NCOSE Survivor Services Coordinator Teresa Helm, an Epstein/Maxwell survivor, spoke during a press conference today where survivors and a bipartisan group of congressional leaders urged details to be released about this sex trafficking network. Helm said, “Republicans and Democrats, we all stand together today. We all stand together for justice and we must continue to do so to protect the integrity of our country and our democracy. Our voices are a fundamental pillar of future generations. Today that’s what we stand here for – accountability, action, and justice.”

“We applaud the courageous survivors who have raised their voices to call for transparency and accountability in the Jeffrey Epstein/Ghislane Maxwell case and who have been critical in ensuring our government leaders act. Sex trafficking networks are built upon force, fraud and coercion and are fueled by sex buyers. It is time to dismantle these networks and ensure that no one else experiences these heinous crimes. We urge the Senate to follow the House’s lead in passing the ‘Epstein Files Transparency Act’ and for President Trump to sign this into law,” said Dr. Marcel van der Watt, President and CEO, National Center on Sexual Exploitation.
